„Ich m\u00f6chte nicht \u00fcber die Suche bei Facebook gefunden werden, wenn jemand meinen Namen sucht“ – das war bisher bei Facebook so m\u00f6glich. Nun wurde k\u00fcrzlich im Newsroom von Facebook bekannt<\/a>, dass im Zuge der Graph Search und sonstiger Aktualisierung eine nicht ganz unwichtige Funktion entfernt wurde: „Who can look up your Timeline by name“<\/p>\n

Im deutschen Facebook lautete der Abschnitt sinnigerwei\u00dfe \u201cWer kann diese Chronik \u00fcber deinen Namen finden\u201d – dort konnte man festlegen wer den eigenen Account \u00fcber die Suche nach dem Namen finden konnte. Wurde dieser Abschnitt bei Personen, die dies nicht aktiviert hatten, vor einiger Zeit eh schon gestrichen, fliegt die M\u00f6glichkeit nun vollst\u00e4ndig raus und ist nicht mehr aktivierbar. F\u00fcr niemanden.

\nDas bedeutet also, dass man seinen eigenen Account nun nicht mehr verbergen oder unsichtbar machen kann. Einige Basisinformationen sind jedoch so oder so sichtbar – Name und Profilbild kann man vor Nicht-Freunden nicht verbergen. Dies ging aber auch vor dem Entfernen der Option schon nicht. Diese beiden Angaben eines Facebook-Accounts sind immer und jederzeit sichtbar (vielleicht war das noch nicht jedem so bewusst). Jetzt ist es also wieder einen kleinen Schritt einfacher den entsprechenden Facebook-Account \u00fcberhaupt ausfindig zu machen. Alle anderen Informationen kann man \u00fcber entsprechende Privacy-Einstellungen vor fremden Blicken sch\u00fctzen (Angaben im Profil zu Wohnort, Arbeitgeber, Alter, Interessen etc.). Also im besten Fall genau drauf achten was „\u00f6ffentlich“ oder „Nur f\u00fcr Freunde“ gepostet und geteilt wird sowie die Einstellungen des eigenen Accounts zu den Profilinformationen nochmal gegenpr\u00fcfen, damit man wirklich nur das \u00f6ffentlich zur Verf\u00fcgung stellt was man auch so behandeln m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
