Nun kommt die Deutsche Bahn mit einer Idee. Aktuell wird gepr\u00fcft, inwieweit das Glasfasernetzes der Deutschen Bahn zuk\u00fcnftig sinnvoll mitgenutzt werden kann.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Der Breitbandausbau ist in Deutschland noch in den Kinderschuhen. Hier k\u00f6nnte die Deutsche Bahn nun helfen, in dem sie sich an dem weiteren Ausbau beteiligt. Denn an einem Gro\u00dfteil der Strecken quer durch Deutschland hat die Bahn auch Glasfaserkabel verlegt, welches noch viele Kapazit\u00e4ten bietet.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8222;Wir haben an unseren 33.000 Kilometern Streckennetz bisher 18.500 Kilometer mit Glasfaser ausger\u00fcstet. Diese Glasfasern sind nicht vollst\u00e4ndig von der Bahn ausgelastet&#8220;<br \/>\n<em><strong>Bahn-Chef Richard Lutz<\/strong><\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Um das schnelle Internet auch wirklich nach Deutschland zu holen, kann sich die Bahn nun die Vermarktung des eigenen Netzes vorstellen.<\/p>\n<p>Denn Richard Lutz sagt weiter: &#8222;Wir als Bahn k\u00f6nnten also unser Glasfasernetz vermarkten und so Teil der L\u00f6sung werden.&#8220; Durch die \u00d6ffnung des eigenen schnellen Netzes k\u00f6nnte die Bahn zus\u00e4tzliche Milliarden einnehmen und f\u00fcr andere Projekte verwenden. &#8222;Und mit diesen zus\u00e4tzlichen Mitteln k\u00f6nnte man den weiteren Ausbau des Breitbandnetzes mitfinanzieren&#8220; sagt Chef Lutz weiter.<\/p>\n<p>Bislang hatte der Spiegel aus bislang unbest\u00e4tigten Quellen in Erfahrung gebracht, dass die Bahn ihre Glasfaserinfrastruktur m\u00f6glicherweise f\u00fcr den Ausbau des Breitbandinternets mit anbieten m\u00f6chte. Zu diesem Zwecke suche der Bahnkonzern nach einem Partner aus dem Bereich Telekommunikation. Besonders die Mobilfunkriesen ben\u00f6tigen schnelle Verbindungen \u00fcber Glasfaser, um die n\u00e4chste Generation des Mobilfunkstandards 5G umsetzen zu k\u00f6nnen. Zwischen den Empfangsmasten des noch schnelleren Mobilfunknetzes m\u00fcssen die Daten \u00fcber Glasfaser \u00fcbertragen werden.
